But as with just about anything it seems, it can’t all be good.
So, “Ozempic Face” is trending this week, and that seems to be the other side of the coin when it comes to using the drug.
What is “Ozempic Face?”
Well, people who use the drug claim that their face looks older.
That said, it’s not all the drug’s fault. Joshua Zeichner, the director of Cosmetic and Clinical Research in Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, even explained to the New York Times what is really happening.
People lose weight, which makes their face look skinnier.
“Weight loss, whether it’s from diet, exercise, surgery, or medication, takes a toll on your face,” he said. “Fat in the face helps us maintain a naturally youthful appearance. When you lose facial fat, the face often looks lean and skeletal. Especially in people who lose a lot of weight, the face can appear significantly older.”
So for people who were obese before taking the drug, ‘Ozempic Face’ may be a bigger problem.
Can it be fixed?
